Some images will help to make clear to all that the situation is extremely hazardous, that even if the elected body is not concerned, nor noticing the threat that is coming from mismanagement of waste, still the danger is there and is imploding day by day.

The extremely fragile zone of seashore, permanently threatened, where for many years people got used to dump all sort of trash (always following Gram Panchayat example), requires crucial careful attention.

This place has become over the past years, a chronic dumping zone. Gram Panchayat needs to pay particular attention and active care to recover the health of all neighbouring water bodies, samudra, nala, sangam, tirthas.

With these images, can we teach children in our schools what is a water body at Gokarna?

They may be good to make them understand why it is important to take care of them, and which is the special role of Gram Panchayat to “heal” them, and keep them healthy. Gram Panchayat has to find ways to clean these by all means and to notify all households and business places on the neighbouring area of nala, sangam, tirtha, drains, to immediately stop dumping there.

Once monsoon comes, all this waste will go inside the ocean and will become impossible to rescue …

Even the furniture …

Drains have turned dumping places and people persistently use them as waste bins, and much more, we can see

All this was just about flowing to the river:

Removing all trash from drains, stop trashing there does not require any special technology … no special funds …

Just care, involvement, decision, action.

Who is responsible for this condition?

Only Gram Panchayat?

Only trashers?

Or there are other official bodies who are sanctioning this ecocide?
